On a recent trip to Michaels ,I picked up this cute wooden birdhouse for it looked more like a Gazebo than a birdhouse . I just fancy those cute little whimsical wood crafts for the endles DIY possibilities ,this being my second DIY project with a birdhouse ,first was for backyard decor .This time I decided to go a different route and opted for a bold peacock color palette inspired by this bright handmade paper leftover from a different project.
Instead of coloring the whole thing, I chose to modpodge the paper on those gorgeous Gazebo mimicking panels. For those interested you can read the steps and for the rest of you skip this part and scroll down for all the DIY ideas.
Things you will need-
Colors -Acrylic preferred
decorative paper
Modpodge /glue also works
Brushes
Gold Sharpie [optional]
Just decide on a color palette,I mized up different shades of brown for the roofing, used modpodge to glue thin strips of paper to the exposed panels on the sides. Since ,I love the gold and ink blue combination,so used a gold sharpie to draw the designs freehand.
Now for the final version
Love how I could use it as multipurpose decor.
